This policy explains what Exhibition Explorer collects, why, and what you can do about it. The app is operated by ABC Horizon Pte Ltd (“we”), who is the data controller for the information described here.
What we collect
You give us the following when you create an account and use your profile:
- Name — first and last
- Email address — also used to sign in and to reset your password
- Contact number
- Age range — a band such as 25-34, not a date of birth
- Occupation and citizenship
- Profile photo — optional
The app records the following as you use it:
- Activity history — codes you scan, exhibitors and stage events you open, vouchers you collect, and items you favourite. You can see this yourself under My Page → History.
- Exhibition registrations and facility bookings you make
- Feedback you choose to submit
- A push notification token for each device, but only after you allow notifications. Decline, and no token is created.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
- The app contains no advertising, analytics or tracking software. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising SDK, and no third-party tracker of any kind.
- We do not collect your location. The app never requests location access.
- The camera is used only to read QR and LinkRay codes while you are scanning. Images from it are not stored or transmitted.
Why we collect it
To run your account and sign you in; to show your registrations, vouchers, bookings and history; to send the event reminders and announcements you have opted into; and to give the exhibition organisers an understanding of who attends. Your contact details are used to reach you about the exhibition, not for unrelated marketing.
Who else sees it
- The exhibition organisers and their administrators, through the admin area of this app.
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, which carries push notifications to your device. It receives the notification and your device token, nothing else.
- Our email provider, which delivers password-reset codes to your address.
- Our hosting provider, on whose servers the application and its database run.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it. Nobody else receives your data.
How it is protected
All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS. The database is not reachable from the public internet, and administrative access is restricted.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. Delete your account and the data described above is removed permanently — see below. Aggregate exhibition statistics that cannot be traced back to a person may remain.
Your choices
- See and correct your data — My Page → My Profile Details, at any time.
- Turn off notifications — in the app under notification settings, or in your device settings.
- Delete your account and its data — from the same profile page, or at /delete-account. This cannot be undone.
- Ask us directly — to access, correct or delete your data, write to us at the address below.
Children
The app is intended for exhibition visitors generally and is not directed at young children. If you believe a child has given us personal information without the consent of a parent or guardian, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
